1857.

Captain Laird.
Jones.
Dale at D3 achieved his worst SC score for a single game since 2020.
Also, I can't believe I let myself get convinced by the Flanders hype.
Fielded Hopper, Ashcroft and Oscar Baker too (the latter due the last minute announcement that Phillips wasn't best 22. in reality I would have been better keeping him at M8!).

So the only obvious trade is Jones > McKenna.
Pondering whether to give Flanders and Hopper one more week.

1924. Very poor. Today was a s**t show - Laird (c), Jelly & i dont own Green. To think my gun top 4 mids scored 50,113,107 & 80 (Laird, Oliver, Bont, Kelly). Apart from that and picking Laurie - which was silly - i am happy i avoided lots of mid-pricers that didnt perform. No Hopper, Bruhn, Fyfe, Flanders etc.

Problem is i dont have many trading options because i dont have dud mid-pricers to move on so i may have to swing a player like Cerra down to a mid-pricer in order to fix my issue with F6. Right now i have Davey/Greene/Laurie and i dont want to play any after this round.

Thanks for the customary welcome though.

1931, Jones, Fyfe, Dale...lucky I picked and captained Gawn or it could have been even uglier.

Callaghan was last picked and is currently my highest scoring mid.

Considering holding Fyfe, at least until he plays the Roos at home next week.

Ladies and Gentlekents...back on his home turf...smashing his B/E...

Nathaniel 'Lazarus' Fyfe...

Fyfe will score well this week as Freo will be angry after today's performance and belt North.

But I don't think he is a long term proposition.
That’s the thing, Fyfe was always a short term plan - since I’ve got him, I’ve got to give him another go against the Kangas

I’m just going to assume he has had the same temporary spud illness as Laird :straining:

I'm seriously waiting for there to be some explanation about Laird's performance. Like if he'd scored 80 you'd chalk it up to a bad day but this was an 8-year bad performance. Surely something is up

Been sick all week.

All out for 1947. :(

Could have been even worse if I captained Laird instead of Bont.

Had Jones sh1t show 5 on the ground along with crap scores from Clark, Ashcroft, Hopper, Kentstable, Bruhn and Flanders.

Overall rank 51,375. :(

Not worried though yet as I'll just blast out a couple of trades this week which should get this ship sailing in the right direction again.

Bruhn > Sheezel and Clark > Daicos :thumbsu:

Rompingwins tounged his taint before the game, very off putting.

2018 in the end, giving a rank of 25,042. I thought I got hit by carnage (Stewart VC, Jelly, various mid price trash), but it ended up being nothing compared to a lot of you poor kents.

What a shitshow of a round. 2 injuries and a lot of trash to take out for mine.

After a round like that, gotta take solace in the little wins though. I never liked the Jones pick, so I kept Bowes since Scott said he’d definitely play next week, and used him as a loop for Cowan (ended up with Wilmot on field). Got an extra 46 points out of it, and still hoping Bowes ends up a decent pick.

Stewart -> some spud
Jelly -> some other soon-to-be spud

Thinking I’ll need to punt 2 of Caminiti, Greene and Chesser next week.
