Blokes 21 and averaging 20.8 possessions, 4.5 tackles tackles a game in a struggling side. Criticisms are way off the mark and significantly overestimating his experience. He is only just getting started in his career and is already a ball-winning, goalkicking inside mid who is probably our 3rd best kick inside 50. He'll be a player, no doubt about it, and while he is still a little inconsistent at this point he still has massive improvement in him.

The nature and tone of some of the criticism directed at a 21-year old, sub-50 gamer who has generally put together an exceptional start to his career is seriously pathetic. I've seen some dumb s**t posted on bigfooty but the idea that a guy that young who has shown a lot of talent already has got no improvement left in him is particularly vacuous and as sure an indication as any that they don't have a single clue when it comes to player development.

Why wouldn't they play a kid over Swallow? or bring in Nielson for a tall defender?

The idea of rebuilding is to find new players, our objectives are to find a new player that we can rely on every week.

Last week we found Mountford.

This was a perfect game to play Nielson on Redpath.. and find ourselves a 10 year full back.
Dropping 2 small forwards, perfect opportunity to bring in Zurhaar and show us what he has.

We simply don't get football.

Swallow doesn't have a skill set, he is a dead set ******* who has a special move called throwing the ball over his head... yeah he can tackle but only because he fumbles everything that comes to him and is 2nd to the ball. His skill set is irrelevant.
