Aucklander and I have had a couple of runs through recent posts in this thread and removed a few unsavoury comments.

The usual griping and gossip is par for the course, but some posts go overboard.

What’s the season look like if teams like South Mornington don’t get 2 sides up?

They have moved back to the SFNL. Local Leader article suggests they are desperately short of players. Won't be the only club post COVID to find the going tough.

Can players share water bottles when on the field?
Are oranges / lollies / any shared food etc allowed whilst playing?

What about post game in the club rooms? Will clubs have to adhere to particular set of rules? Same goes for crowd attendance?

When we tend to wait and see things usually take a turn for the worse, hopefully thats not the case this time around!

Don't know about on field but it’s doubtful any of that will be allowed, how they’ll do it though who knows? Cricket has really been slowed down by no shared water bottles meaning drinks break required everyone leaving the field.

As for off the field, yes clubs will need a Covid safe plan and have capacity limits on their rooms based on its size.

Crowds are capped at 1,000 but that won’t ever be an issue in the VAFA!!!

Point is that 2 resigning now begs why not before the election. Strange given all the crap that went along with the elections - would have meant that 2 of the 3 that missed out would have got on the board. Now they are way short especially in women reps.

Always lots of talk about players and playing depth heading into 2021. Any word on VAFA umpire stocks? Are they considered to have good numbers? Will that hopefully filter down through to the divisions or effect them either positively or negatively

It’ll be interesting to see as most leagues are seriously struggling for umpires this season.

So we’ll get a lunch up and going and really singing, and then have to say to the guests “sorry, we have to close for two quarters but we’ll be back open at the end of the Ones”. Bit odd.
