For mine he's a hit up to the wing option. Decent footy nous and leading patterns. Will struggle under the high ball playing deeper.
When defences are set, they're too good for anyone to be effective with high balls. Whichever team can come up with a strategy other than repeat entries bombed to the hot spot will get a big jump on the opposition.

Will spew if Appleby doesn't crack the squad at all after 3 goals in the scratch match. Has been a very consistent multiple goalscorer since returning.

Could come in for Callum Brown who hasn't hit the scoreboard in a while?

Hey guys, I come in peace. Quick question for whoever knows, did pies bring across to Perth their full squad?

Howe stayed in Melbourne and Kelly has flown back to Melbourne since injuring his elbow.

Pretty sure everyone else is heading to Perth. There was some doubt about Roughead but we think his wife has been given special permission to join.

Judging from Pendlebury's comments on his podcast last week, the players may reconsider being in the hub if they are not allowed to have family during any extended stay beyond the 32 days that has been already outlined.

Cheers mate, appreciate it.

Out Elliott in broomhead
Out Kelly in de goey
Out brown in sier
Out Cox in lynch
Why would you drop Elliott? He’s not actually injured from what’s been said, just had a knock to his shin and wasn’t allowed to go back on as a precaution.

Cameron was decent against Richmond.
He wasn’t what we needed though. If he’s playing as a forward target he needs to actually present as a forward target. He didn’t do that to an acceptable standard in either of his games. Neither has Cox unfortunately.

There will be a bye following the next hub allowing players to return home for a week before heading to the next hub. This is all pending the Victorian Covid numbers.

It's going to have to be a dramatic turnaround in this state for that to be possible. Particularly considering the government is telling us it will get worse before it gets better..

Can it be considered a real competition and a genuine premiership if players pull out of hubs to go back home?
Crisp on tv news saying he already missing family and really down.

Better to go home ..Better for the team

If you actually watch the whole vlog he put on youtube. That concern was days ago when the lockdown in vic happened.
Nothing wrong with being concerned about your family, about whether the wife and kids have any support.

he doesn’t even do that.
He gets out marked by smaller opponents constantly.

To be fair Sicily is a very good intercept defender. I think Howe will have outmarked many taller opponents too in his time. Sicily has absolutely killed Cox in the past also. I felt Cox was more competitive this time. Not where we'd like him to be maybe but better.

Yep, took a bunch of marks on the wing, but for all we know Richmond were happy to let our #1 KPF leave the 50 and take marks that far out because then we have no target for the next kick.

So we can expect to play no earlier than Saturday night 25 July against one of Freo or Eagles to allow for 14 day quarantine in WA after arriving there on Saturday 11 July. Then we would get a very short break and play the other. Sidebottom will be available for that third game in Perth.

Bucks may want to make three or more changes each week to have a rolling squad of 28 or so players with AFL game time. Might be time for Sier to get a run against the Cats with Noble and Appleby playing the next week. Hopefully Daicos can return next week or soon after. Can’t see Varcoe playing all three games regardless of form. Would Moore‘s game time be managed given hard surface at Optus?

Players who haven't already decided to stay home eg. Houli and Edwards, won't be leaving the hubs midway through, unless it's a vitally important situation at home and they need to return.
Then again you wouldn't begrudge any player pulling out of a hub, if they were feeling mentally down.

I’ll throw up if he gets a game, rather Wills and that’s saying something

Dunn could be used up forward with his strength & experience, also have Cameron in front of Cox.

He won’t crack the squad yet.
He may be building something nicely but not just yet first team material.
