Roughead is as cool as a cucumber. I'd like to see him playing with the Iceberg.

Cometh the hour, cometh the Schazz.

Greenwood under pressure from Quaynor. Dont know what the hell to do about Thomas and Varcoe. Id love to replace one of them, but there isnt anyone except Daicos, and Im not sure on that one. Could Broomhead be a potential in? He has done some good numbers of late, and appears to have good goal sense.

Three talls looked a bit overcooked as expected, and seemed to detract from Mihocek's impact. Do we drop him though? Not so sure. We are caught on the horns of a dilemma, with a structure that isnt really sustainable, but with making the right call an awkward mess.

Moore? I had to step away at half time for fear of destroying my TV and saw that he went off late with an “injury”.

Not many shining moments for Darcy tonight but that first half took me back to 2017; we were insipid at times during the 2nd quarter.

Having said that we shouldn't be taking away from the Doggies, they played great footy and arguably deserved to win. They kicked themselves out of the contest.

Grundy was colossal, Reid held his own.

I'd like to see Daicos and Broomy put pressure on Varcoe and Thomas.

He got lost from what I saw today and couldn’t work his man over. The same happened in the pre-season. An idea only, but perhaps the three can work together with Mihocek playing as a wingman that drifts back. Either that or he swings back as cover for Howe and we go with Daicos over Shaz.

The last may be the answer if they feel Shaz isnt ready for AFL yet, which could easily be the case.

Lucky we didn't rest Grundy this week... :)

Three talls had nothing to do with Mihocek “looking” lost.........our onballers were very poor today.........except Brodie.

Howe looks like a four to six weeker,

How far is Adams off?

I'm probably being uncharitable to our injury management, but Id be willing to bet Howe comes back before Adams*

*gamble responsibly.

Not sure about the Cox & Reid combo. we looked slow but looked to have options when going down the line. Not sure on the setup against high end teams.

Out: Howe & Aish

In: Goldsack & Quaynor

Out: Howe (inj.), Reid
In: Scharenberg, Elliott

More likely just the one change. Reid was obviously ok but I think the structural change is absolutely required.

Brown and Varcoe redeemed themselves after half time, Pig and Bear had shockers but Greeny has bucks in the bank and Sier still got 20 disposals so just Schaz for Howe I guess if no injuries are back. Done well to keep the side stable with so many out but 8 of our best is starting to stretch us.

U/A:
Adams Langdon Elliott Stephenson Howe Beams Wells Dunn

Out: Reid, Howe, Varcoe
In: Schaz, Elliott, Daicos
I would not be averse to Varcoe out for Daicos; unfortunately Daicos seems to have had a middling game today.
