Personally I think it's risky to experiment with a debutant in the second half of the year. It can be done next year.

The least likely time we should be experimenting with 3 talls is this week on a fast deck against the Bulldogs smaller, running defence.

It would be dumber that what Stephenson did.....okay not quite.

As crazy as it sounds could we try IQ in a forward pressure role ? Hes obviously quick and does have good foot skills from the little I've seen ? It could help him adapt to a role without being so heavily relied on in defence especially when our backline is pretty well sorted for now.

We do have small-medium forward options who've been playing okay (Daicos, Crocker, might be a tad premature for Broomy) and you'd assume they'd all be ahead of him. IQ, from the little I've seen, seems to be struggling most with learning the systems at a higher level and I'm also not sure playing him in a position he hasn't had any exposure to will aid that.

I'm surprised people looking for a crazy left field selection to replace Stevo haven't been suggesting Tyler Brown as a potential debutant. He's the most like-4-like we'd have. Shame he's only just resumed in the VFL and hasn't had a sustained chance to stake a claim, and that he's been playing predominantly midfield AFAIK.

Without trying it in the VFL first? Even though he's being developed as a half-back? I guess the crazy part is just throwing a player into a position they've not played all year in the 1sts.
