Footy season only runs for 6 months. Do you really spend the other 6 months watching replays?
Yep. I'm a tragic alright!
At the moment, because I don't have access, I just watch Youtube replays or old radio broadcasts of my favourite games

doesn't affect me personally, but this is a bit of a dog act from the Telstra and AFL.
Some people only signed up to telstra for the live pass, now not getting what they paid for....unless they fork over more money now for a 'discounted' price.
It was always going to go this way eventually, but for the AFL to drop this on the on some of the fans who might've be genuinely relying on it mid-pandemic (or throughout the next lockdown), after so many fans have lost income and are struggling in all sorts of other ways is actually pretty distasteful....
not that I expect anything less from either organisation who both treat their customers/fans as if they are complete idiots at the best of times.
you didn't name your son after Karl Marx by any chance?
Agreed surely anyone who wants to break their Telstra contract would have an argument that the service they signed up for is not being honoured?
I'm fairly certain you can cancel your contract if this is the case. Being that it is a completely different service and pricing.Agreed surely anyone who wants to break their Telstra contract would have an argument that the service they signed up for is not being honoured?
Their live streams use to pee me off anyway because you could only watch games on a tablet or smartphone. So, the AFL, has just scrapped live pass, with Telstra sending out emails saying to stream live games you now need to pay for Kayo...thanks very much.

Sure, if you were dealing with a good corporate citizen. But Telstra are scum, good luck with that.
I also use Expressvpn. My Kayo has stoped working for the past 5 days. Bloody annoying. Using expressvpn. Any tips?
Also tried cleaning the cache on the Samsung tv etc.
just logged in to watch T20, looks like Kayo has disabled VPN usage recently.I also use Expressvpn.
I've found I have to clear the cache/reboot and then change servers several times to get in.
Haven't tried for about a week but will give it a crack tomorrow for the cricket.
Couldn't get mine working today. My Kayo has stoped working for the past 5 days. Bloody annoying. Using expressvpn. Any tips?

ok, I had to try this again because...the last time it worked perfectly with VPN for me was when I watched UFC onCouldn't get mine working today.
Ended up signing up for an IPTV for half the price.
Hey mate, invest in a VPN if you want to watch AFL in the middle east. A VPN and Kayo does this trick, spent the majority of last year over there.Im in the Middle East I was going to see if I could stream Live Pass AFL games via WIFI over here, not sure what I'ii be doing now? Maybe no AFL games attended or watched for 2021 for me!
Easy.Hey mate, invest in a VPN if you want to watch AFL in the middle east. A VPN and Kayo does this trick, spent the majority of last year over there.
EDIT: I have just read above that Kayo have disallowed using VPN's? Not sure what you can do in this case.
inb4 your EDIT.....right above your post ⬆Hey mate, invest in a VPN if you want to watch AFL in the middle east. A VPN and Kayo does this trick, spent the majority of last year over there.

01) disable VPN (kayo login process requires this now)
02) login to Kayo, start watching whatever program
03) enable VPN
04) visit pornhub on other screen...
just the standard 2 left onesHow many hands do you have?
no
I'm a capitalist but also smart enough to appreciate we are paying for something that would be free if not for fools.
A rule in finance is "the patient takes money from the impatient". This rule stands true in this case.
Why would it be free?
They have never shown all games live or delayed on fta.
In fact anything more than a delayed game of the round and an hour highlights package are a relative new thing.
sh*t, WA still show games over there on delay featuring their local teams.
I guess if people want to see their team live every week they can either get a membership and attend games or pay $150 for the length of the season to stream it on Kayo or pay $78 per month (unless you can get a deal out of them) for Foxtel. Both you can just shut down at the end of the footy season.
If you only have Kayo for the length of the season, it works out to about $3 per week over a whole year or a loaf of bread per week.
It was free in the 90s but slowly but surely the game has been taken from FTA to a pay per view model
Is the game any more enjoyable now than before? I' suggest no, so the only benefit is bigger pay checks paid for by many who can't afford it

In the 90s they still weren't televising 7 or 8 games a week live. Maybe 2 or 3 at the most, I'm not even sure that many. Sydney games at the SCG on a Sunday were about the only ones I could say were definitely telecast on fta live. Maybe Friday nights when North were driving it and other non Vic games from WA, SA or Qld.
God no. Now - like chocolate is to sh*t. Looks a little bit similar.
I hate the way people now justify almost any rip off in terms of takeaway coffees to make it seem not so bad. A lot of us are not consuming takeaway coffees everyday. I have Foxtel but I know it's a rip off, other than the AFL it's full of rubbish and way less value than the streaming service competitors like Netflix, Amazon etc
If Kayo provided extra options such as nominating a single sport and made it much (much!) cheaper than 25/month, that would make more sense. As much as Kayo let's you watch most sports, I only want to watch afl and I don't want to fill my days watching extra sports just to justify it.Kayo is actually a good product, I've found over the last few years I've ended up watching a number of other sports on there pretty regularly.
For those only interested in AFL that don't want to stream the Foxtel only games to their TV I can see why it's not appealing though.
